America’s Condition Today and Tomorrow
Mining Affairs Forum - By Ken Thornberg

The United States is encountering some real problems today.   That is no surprise to anyone who is breathing.  However, most Americans are allowing them to occur and expand without raising either a voice or pen to counter them.   Consider the following major issues facing America:

  • Regionalism, leading to globalism
  • Internally, the use of terrorism as a means to subjugate us by stripping away our rights in the name of security, the same thing Hitler did to the German population
  • The growth of nationalism as opposed to federalism, taking from the states and local governments any semblance of authority other than as “go-fers” for Washington, D.C.
  • The Balkanization of the American culture and body politic caused by non-stop immigration.
  • The deterioration of morality and the family—by design
  • A deficit which is designed to bankrupt our nation and help create a North American currency

Any of these issues can lead to the dissolution of the Constitution and the rights we hold.  Federal judges, who often have not even read the Constitution, violate its pages daily without any repercussions.  The great experiment of Americanism, it seems, is about to be extinguished through apathy of the American people.   Too often we allow one single event, such as the last election, to lull us sleepily into thinking that the election results will continue without eternal vigilance.  It won’t.   That was only the beginning of what needs to continue at an alarming rate.  All that election did was slow down the boat’s course towards socialism; it has not stopped the boat, much less turn it around.  It was a start, but only a start!

Ever Heard of SPP?

As an example of what I am referring to, in March of 2005, President Bush, Prime Minster Martin of Canada and President Fox of Mexico issued a communiqué stating that they would move forward with the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) that was designed to merge the U.S., Canada, and Mexico into one nation by 2010.   Rep. Katherine Harris (R-Fla.) introduced a bill to start the process immediately.  How many know about this effort?   It was surreptitiously called, “The North American Cooperative Security Act.”  It was supposed to integrate Canadian and Mexican police and army into our Dept. of Homeland Security!   It also called for a common border, meaning no border at all, of course.  It also called for massive aid to Mexico to help them develop natural gas and oil fields and to improve their industrial capacity.  Obviously this has not passed yet, but does it mean that it is not still at the top of the liberal agenda?  Trust me, it is!   And consider that it was primarily Republicans who introduced the bills in both the Senate and House.

A national police force, folks, is tantamount to the establishment of a dictatorship.  Would you be willing to compare this to Hitler’s Germany, where the people said, “This will never happen to our nation.”    And so many of you believe this too just because we are America.  When the Germans realized what they had allowed in their midst, it was too late.  The Gestapo was already too strong and willingly eliminated their own people very easily.   Why would any American believe that a foreign policeman would not do the same to us?   Virtually no people on earth have the local police concept that our nation has historically enjoyed, and as a result most national governments control the citizenry.

Morality is Required

What destroyed Rome and other civilizations that enjoyed freedom was a slide into immorality.  Our family is presently supporting several organizations that are seeking to fight America’s slide into this fairly new realm, and to write and call when necessary to fight back.  No matter if it is drugs, unlicensed sex, allowing 2-4% of the population calling itself homosexual to re-define marriage, killing the unborn who only have us as their spokesmen, or stealing our youth for the occult, New Age, or Satanic purposes, it is pervasive and growing.  Why would anyone believe it is going to stop on its own?   It never has and just because we are Americans does not mean it will with us.  It won’t.  Our people need to do two things:  1) Pray, 2) Act.  One without the other is not enough.  But both are needed to erase our slide to oblivion, a lost civilization, and to recover in time to save it.     We must do more than survive!  Survival is simply slow death.

Are you part of this solution or part of the silent majority?   Have you had enough of this giant move towards socialism and deterioration of the freedoms and morality that made American great and respected throughout the world?   Please pray about your role in defending this great experiment and then act upon what you sense.

Now to the Debt Issue

Just in case some have not heard, Jay Leno of the Tonight Show came up with a wonderful quote:  “The U.S. Postal Service reported a $3.5 billion loss in the last quarter, which established it as the federal government’s most successful enterprise.”   Amen, Jay.  And now the Postal Service has announced it will go out of business altogether if Congress doesn’t cough up some more money or eliminate Saturday delivery, which has been its goal all along anyway.
The TARP program announced in July that the government’s bailout and stimulus spending had soared to an astronomical $3.7 trillion.  That word has now replaced the “former” astronomical word, billion, as an everyday term which our government hopes will not shock anyone now.   This spending has created about 654,000 jobs, meaning the average job cost each of us $5,657,492 to create!   And since the average job pays $45,000, it will only take 126 years for the average new “employee” to make income equaling the cost of its job creation.   It will only take the federal government 500 years to recoup it from these people through income taxes.  Does anyone still believe that the Bush/Obama plans were moral and constitutional in their implementation?   Does this help explain the idiocy of this stimulus package?
Our government borrows 40 cents of every dollar it spends now.  And we are paying humongous interest to international bankers for that right to borrow.   The cut that Congress approved, much ballyhooed by the Democrats, was less than one-half percent of the budget outline.  When will Congress be willing to act with the same sense of responsibility that Americans are in tightening their belts?   When will they stop increasing the budget by 10% per annum for non-defense categories?   Were you fooled into believing that the so-called “conservative Republicans” were ripping off Americans through outlandish demands for cuts?    What a farce was being perpetrated against us!  Our present real debt is well over $200 trillion, a prescription for bankruptcy.

As my readers know, I could go on and on.  But I believe you get the idea.  There are lies, damned lies, and statistics and our government socialists are great at creating all three to create fear in Americans by not telling them the whole truth.  For example, our labor force unemployment figure has fallen because people stopped looking for jobs!  The government wiped out 2.2 million people from the “unemployed” rolls for that reason.  If the figures were held constant at its 2000 peak, our unemployment rate would be at 14%, but the feds tell us it is below 10%.    I wish I had time and space to share more of the illusion coming from Washington, but space does not permit.  Please do not buy into every announcement from the White House, but instead ask the right questions, search for the truth, look beyond CNN and the major networks, and share with your representatives what you truly feel and desire to see change.  Only you and I can make that difference together!
