Countdown Begins for Largest Mining Conference Ever

A multi-year boom in the global mining industry is fueling record attendance and exhibitor interest in MINExpo INTERNATIONAL 2008®, the world mining industry’s premier exhibition of mining equipment, technology and services sponsored every four years by the National Mining Association (NMA). MINExpo® is expected to attract more than 1,200 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors from the U.S. and around the world, making it the largest show of its kind. More than 93 percent of exhibit space at the Las Vegas Convention Center has been sold for the Sept. 22-24, 2008 show. “This is a must-attend event for professionals in the mining industry around the world, especially here in the U.S., where the mining industry is riding the crest of powerful demand for minerals and metals, for coal and the equipment needed to mine it,” said Kraig R. Naasz, president and CEO of NMA.

Timothy W. Sullivan, president and CEO of Bucyrus International, Inc., and MINExpo Chairman says “MINExpo gives us the opportunity every four years to bring together all aspects of the industry—people, products and services—in one huge demonstration of capability,” said Sullivan. Reporters interested in attending should mark their calendars now and check the show’s web site for details at www.minexpo.com.
