Heavy Equipment Maintenance means Focusing on Fluids - A piece of modern mining heavy equipment is a high performance thoroughbred.  It may appear to be a tough brute that appears impervious to dust and dirt, but if even a bit of invisible dust gets into the equipment’s fluids, you will be experiencing reduced performance, higher maintenance costs, and shorter lives.

Newmont to Celebrate 90th Anniversary - 2011 is Newmont's 90th anniversary, and it looks like it will be a good year to celebrate.

Obama's War on Mining - The mining accident at the Upper Big Branch Mine was a tragedy.  And, we do need to use this event as a way to make mining better and safer.  However, using the tragedy for political purposes as the Obama Administration is doing only cheapens those deaths.
